1. FOMO sells
In a world where everyone is fighting to catch attention, use fear as your sales strategy. People don’t like missing out (they really don’t). They will think 10 times before buying a product and contemplate if they actually need it but as soon as the display shows- only 1 left, Boom! They want it. Same goes for services- your clients need to feel they will lag behind if they don’t do business with you. Position your deal in a way that doesn’t want them to miss out on it.
2. To sell better, know better
Most people think that following a script with a good knowledge of their product is the best way to make sales and we disagree with it. Of course, you need to know your offerings and value propositions the best (and believe in it too) but that’s not all there is to sales. You need to understand the person you’re talking to, put yourself in their shoes and rethink the whole situation from their standpoint (Also, scripts are outrageous).
3. Tap into Emotional Hot Buttons
Yes, we are talking about psychological triggers. Humans are emotional creatures- they (no matter how much they deny) want to look better and feel better. They want to feel all nice and smart. They want to know they are special. All of us do, right? Similarly, when it comes to businesses, they are all fighting for the top spot. This is what makes people buy all that they buy. There is an emotional journey involved with each buying decision.
